I remember when all of you joined- used to be about 12 members, 1 forum with 3 posts a week total, every single one of them about Intruders. Merlin had not yet registered the Intruder Alert domain name or gotten his own server space, so you went to zoom or excite or one of those other now extinct web host sit, and the url was something crazy like zoom.com/directory/usergroups/forums/index/recreation/specialinterest/motorcyles/intruderalert or something silly and long like that like that. There was this big ad for a wooden sissy bar extension someone was making because there was no aftermarket support for Intruders yet. Merlin and R2 moved to a private server and got the Intruder Alert URL in 1997, but there are still a few of us around from a year or more before than.
And Merlin actually posted Now he lurks on his own site, now that he is old and married and a daddy and boring and a TSP and can SMD and all that.

Well, WAS his better half, back in 1997. Unless he just made her up- hard to remember. Back then we were all crossing our fingers that eventually he would get a real girlfriend and move out of his mom's basement.
Merlin married a wonderful woman named Dani in 2004 or so. But JessicaP is forever immortalized as the first "test" log in to this site.
Oh, just got home from seeing Merlin- met up in Tennessee, he and the rest of the bunch went over to Maggie Valley for the weekend, I told Merlin I was gonna swing by his house and see his wife and my kid. 
Chuck- Remember "Dope on a rope?" Had a chuckle thinking about those stories last night.
