I just now saw this thread Mike.  I don't frequent this site much anymore since it turned to religious and political threads.

I wish you well, and hope the the radiation treatments work out good.

I had an almost startling revelation when I looked down the front page and except for the 300 page long "Reason Rally" thread there are no religious or political threads going. If they'd let the "Reason" post go it would be a front page you could click on anything and enjoy it. hasn't been that way for a long time.

ps...I'm hoping for the best for you also, and hope that cat doesn't give ya' a heart attack or lay on you chest and suck your breath out.

I'm willing to bet one of our top 3 or 4 cut and paste/link political posters will be along soon for a nice cut and paste/link political thread

Oh dang, I see Chuck couldn't resist getting an Obama post in there. Just was too clean a front page not to mess up with a "I hate Obama" thread.

It was either that or a gun thread.

I miss the good old days when we Harley bashed and had 30 page oil threads.  The religion threads are the SOS over and over and over......

Maybe everybody's getting wore out with the religion and political threads.

Or maybe, and this is a GREAT BIG MAYBE, a little commonsense has wormed its way into people's noggins.  I'm a real big advocate of commonsense, even though I've got a diploma hanging on the wall.  Looking back on over 60 years, the commonsense did more for me than the university education ever did.

And here's my commonsense approach to most of the really heated threads on Intruder Alert:  (write this down, there might be a test later)

The most precious thing we have on this ball of dirt is time, and it slips away second by second, and minute by minute.  I'll not waste my time arguing about religion or politics, because commonsense tells me I'll not change anyone's mind typing on an Internet forum, and they damn sure won't change mine.  I expect most folks here feel the same way.

So why do those threads go on page after page?  Simple.  Boredom, and the chance to mentally spar with other's in the safety of their home on their computer.

I don't have a problem with that if that's the way you want to spend your precious time on earth.  I've chosen to spend it on other things, so I don't waste my minutes here anymore, arguing about things.

Y'all can do whatever the hell you want to do.  Ain't no skin off my old ass.  Even though my back's broke, at least once a day I manage to find something that makes me grin like a possum eating s**t out of a hairbrush, and those are precious minutes.
