Hey guys, got a 2005 c50, 4800 miles, lots of aftermarket stuff. Sweet bike!   Black, V&H pipes, tank bib, light bar, boulevard windshield, lots of other stuff i can't think of. I've been reading these threads as i was waiting for the bike n i've got lots of ideas for this scoot. A few questions; does this bike have some way to set the idle? its set a little too low. Also, when it comes to valve adjustment, how difficult is it to do this shade-tree style?(forgive me if  this has been covered before, i couldn't find it in the tech data links) Picked it up yesterday, rode for couple hrs today after work, I really like it so far! A lot more comfortable than the 1400, and still plenty of power. Thanks for listening

i bought a 07 c50 about 8 months ago with 3900 miles.  i love the bike, i think you will enjoy.  it has a great balance of plenty of power and still light enough to be easily handled.  added vance and hines pipes couple of weeks ago and am very pleased with them.  not sure about the mechanical questions you had but someone here will i'm sure.  have fun with it.

Yeah i love it so far. The V&H's sound great, loud but not too loud, nice low rumble. This is the first bike i've rode with a winshield & i'm lovin it

Got my 08 C50C around a year and a half ago with 6,000 on it.Was not really looking for one but so cheap on E-bay made a bid and got it.Rode it the 200 +miles home and all went well till it ran out of gas in  196 miles!Had filled it up on the same street I got it.They get real good mpg at around 55 but put them on the freeway at 80 and they drink it more than my 1700 RoadStar.Thats about the only big thing I do not like about them the too low gearing but since they are stable rode it to Savanna and back the first week since I had broken the second drive belt on my 1700.
Was riding it about every day even after getting the RoadStar back on the road.On 90 percent of my riding its a great bike.A little down on power next to some but good bike.Have around 19,000 on it now I think?Been riding my even smaller Wee Strom 650 more now and its so good at so much to be a 650 but too tall for lots of riders.
The valve adjustment is simple lock nut style and not bad if you have done that kind before.

Ky. hill billy, ride a lot and all year, youall come by and we will take a ride by the nice horse farms
