Happy to have found this site!  I have a 1990 Intruder 750 and the battery didn't make it thru the winter.  Learning curve!  How does one jump a bike?  Have a power box, not a car.  Can't figure how to get to the battery.  HELP!!!!!

The battery location is the one drawback for this bike I've found in my brief acquaintance with it. The first thing I had to do when I bought my new 1987 intruder was to change the battery. It's located in front of the back tire in a box. It helps to jack up the rear end a few inches. You'll want to disconnect the leads and then remove a screw from the bottom of the battery box, and it should slide out. I have a theory that the short battery life (two years from what I've read) is due to having the battery so low to the ground. I ride in the rain and I know it's gonna get wet! Hope this helps...

Thanks! You're a rock star.  Now, if I can just find the tires?  What do they look like?  KIDDING!
