Here is a link to a sight that has radiator covers for all bikes. You have to hunt through the menu to find the ones for the C109R but they have a few.

I installed a "dragon" radiator cover on my C109 a month ago, no issues. This past Sunday I made a 500 mile ride and noticed everytime I took the bike over 85 the oil/temperature red light came on. Running 75 and under, no problems. The oil level was OK as was the water level. The only thing I can conclude is the dragon obstructed the radiator just enough to raise the temp so that the idiot light came on. I'm going to test my theory this weekend by taking the cover off and airing it out on the interstate to see if the light comes on. Some of these covers have flames and weird designs that are much more obstructive that the figure of a dragon so stay tuned. If anyone has any other thoughts I'm deeply interested.

Interesting. I did not buy one yet but I did have my thoughts about exactly that. Some designs do seem to be a bit more intrusive on the cooling capabilities.

I would like to know how your experiment works out. Keeps us informed.

I have the skull cover and it has at least 1/2 clearance between it and the radiator fins, the fan doesnt run any more than with out it. I do believe my engine guard chaps seem to raise the temp slightly tho, toasty with no air moving on the feet.

I removed the Dragon radiator cover and ran it in excess of 85 mph for about 10 miles and at 120 for 3 miles and could not get the engine/oil temp light to come on. As Tweekster mentioned there is plenty of clearance. I'm not sure exactly where the temp sensor is or if they palys into the problem.
