This first post will be updated throughout the next two years as more dates/routes, etc. are finalized.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Okay folks here are the dates of the WV Rally!
June 8 - June 14, 2015.
June 8-9 Monday/Tuesday arrival + free ride/activity day
10th - Wednesday free ride/activity day
11th - Thursday planned group ride
12th - Friday - free ride/activity day
13th - Saturday - planned group ride
14th - Sunday - time to leave.
The rally's I've attended in the past had an arrival on Wednesday and departure on Sunday. I plan on taking the entire week off, but won't necessarily plan any group rides (but will be riding every day, so feel free to follow me if you're there and want to) except for Thursday & Saturday.
The "Official unOfficial" dates would be 6/10/15 - 6/14/15.
In case you missed it, I've come to the conclusion that I need to make this WV IA rally for 2015, not 2014.
Sorry to disappoint, but there are several things at play here:
1) One road I really want to take everybody on is in real bad shape. I expect it will be repaved, but it might not be until early 2015.
2) One bridge I want us to cross - is in process of being replaced - scheduled completion "Summer 2014" I think. I'd like to give them time to fix it.
3) Daughter expected to be born in 2 weeks, give or take a week. ;) A good friend has suggested I might not want to try to plan routes, trips, or a rally for that first year (although I have the two anticipated routes already mapped out).
4) It will give me more time to scout other areas for staying. I have one place in mind, but need to be see if they are accommodating. Alternatively, I can move it 40 miles north to an alternative area. I need time to do all this. Since I signed up for the other classes this year, I haven't had time to go scout like I expected.
I *will* make a trip next year (and likely for a week) to stay in the area and ride around. This likely won't be announced, but if you're near enough and want to scope it out with me, let me know.
Around January, 2015, I'll start keeping track of who's going more closely, but for now these people said they were interested in the (cancelled) 2014 WV rally.

I will definitely attend.
PM me if you need any help getting things organized.
2010 summer:: 12,000 miles, 60 days, 23 states, camping and cooking ride from Ocean City Maryland via US-50 to San Francisco, CA-1 up the coast, loop around BC, and US-2 back along the top of the country to home in DC --- was absolutely wonderful - no problems - great IAers met along the way.

There may be one in Brazil, but the one putting together will be in WV. =)

I use to live in WVa, Summersville lake is a great area and it's the cleanest lake I was ever around. To bad I'm on the other side of the world now.

It's 2 years away - you can plan a vacation & rent a bike from somewhere.
